Named for Booker Noe's early apprenticeship under his cousin Carl Beam at the Jim Beam Distillery, this Booker's release honors where a legend learned his craft. Bottled uncut and unfiltered at cask strength after roughly seven years in white oak, it pours a deep amber and henna hue, with layered aromas of vanilla and caramel edged by a touch of smoke, then vanilla, toasted nut, and oak on the palate through a long, full finish. Pour it neat in a rocks glass for slow, deliberate sipping.
Tasting notes
Nose: Caramel, mint, cinnamon, and oak.
Mouth: Very hot, as to be expected, but also sweet. Strong notes of oak, chocolate, and cinnamon with an undercurrent of citrus.
Finish: Warm and long. Notes of peanut butter, chocolate, and oak.
