Bladnoch calls itself Scotland's most southerly distillery, tucked into the Lowlands, and Samsara is its rebirth story in a glass — the name is Sanskrit for cyclic renewal, a fitting toast to the distillery's 2017 reopening. This no-age-statement single malt spends time in Californian red wine and sherry casks, landing vanilla cream and fresh-cut apple on the nose, then thick vanilla fudge before a bright, citrus-tinged finish. Pour it neat to let those layers unfold slowly.
