Bentwing Brandy comes from Hangar 1 Distillery on California's Alameda Island, the makers' first move beyond vodka into brandy. It's a transatlantic blend, marrying Northern California grapes (made in the Chenin Blanc style) with traditional French brandy, then finished in seasoned American white oak casks once used for single malt whiskey. Expect currant and prune on the nose with white flowers, opening into dark brown sugar, honey, and toasted oak on the palate. A fitting choice for slow evenings, neat or in a brandy-forward cocktail.
