Benromach - Scotch Single Malt 2007 Batch 1
The Benromach distillery in Scotland has embraced the cask strength single malt Scotch whisky world with this real BBQ delight. Benromach distillery was first established in Forres, Scotland in 1898. The current family owners, the Urquharts of Elgin, acquired it in 1993 fulfilling their long-held family dream.
All Benromach whisky casks are hand-filled, individually weighed, stencilled by hand and stowed in their traditional dunnage warehouses because at Benromach they believe making whisky by hand guarantees genuine character. This batch release embodies tons of smoky, sweet notes, typically associated with Benromach.
Finished in sherry and bourbon casks at cask strength, Batch 1 delivers notes of thistle honey, medium peat, toasted cereals, graham cracker crust and lemon zest, with a lingering whiff of smoke and spice.
