Every autumn in Sorbets, a village tucked into the Gers countryside, the Lesgourgues family runs Ugni Blanc, Baco, Colombard, and Folle Blanche through a column still around the clock — one variety at a time. This bottle carries eaux-de-vie distilled from the 1988 harvest, aged separately in local Gascony oak before the cellar master blended them. Expect salted caramel, candied walnut, plum, and vanilla on the nose, rounding into fruit and toasted oak on the palate. Pour it neat, after dinner, and let the finish linger.
