Barrell Craft Spirits built this blend of straight bourbons around wood, finishing separate batches in Mizunara, French, and toasted American oak before marrying them at cask strength. The reward is layered and generous: creme brûlée and chocolate pudding from the toasted oak, espresso and maple syrup on the palate, then a finish of red plum, green grape, and crystallized ginger. Whisky Advocate ranked it among 2022's top three whiskeys.
