Bardstown Bourbon Company built The Prisoner on an 84% corn, 8% rye, 8% malted barley mash, distilling and aging the straight bourbon in Tennessee for nine years before transferring it into French oak barrels once used by The Prisoner Wine Company for their cult-favorite red blend. That extra time in wine wood pulls out blackberry, black cherry, honey, vanilla, and baking-spice notes, with the barrels' grape character lingering into a smooth, balanced finish. It's built for sipping neat or over a single large-format ice cube alongside dark chocolate or aged cheddar.
