Tipsy Sauce - Caramel Hard Sauce
Most bourbons lean on yellow dent corn — Balcones builds this one on Texas blue corn, then loads the mash with rye for a bourbon that drinks with real spice. Made in Waco and twice distilled in copper pot stills, it rests about 43 months in new charred oak and bottles at cask strength. Expect maple-glazed oak, herbal rye, chocolate-covered cherries, and cracked peppercorn. Pour it neat, or add a few drops of water to open up the sweeter side.
