Avuá Cachaça Prata comes from a single family-run distillery north of Rio de Janeiro, where estate-grown sugarcane is hand-cut and pressed within hours of harvest, then wild-fermented for a day before a single pass through an alembic pot still. Rested in stainless steel rather than wood, it stays clear and grassy, with a soft, creamy texture, notes of ripe banana and raw cane juice, and a light, lingering funk cachaça fans call "hogo."
