Overview

More Info

Very limited, small batch Extra Añejo. A spirit that the most demanding of tequila and spirits connosseurs will fully appreciate.

45 months in oak barrels, then aged an additional month in specially selected petit barrels, which are rotated daily.

The color is rich scotch, with an aroma of finely roasted agave with hints of warm vanilla and spices. The taste is expertly complex with an infusion of fipe, luscious fruits and American oak.

I heartily endorse this Nectar of the Gods!

"I felt compelled to share my opinions after making my fourth or fifth purchase. This tequila is AMAZING! You don't need to shoot it or pursue it with anything since it is so smooth. Whether served chilled or at room temperature, you won't be let down. I heartily endorse Nectar of the Gods!"

They Deserve More than 5 Star

"So I spent a lot of money on a bottle of tequila to see whether it lived up to the reputation. I debated between Clas Azul and Avion Reserve 44 because I thought they both had excellent ratings, but let me just say that Avion is deserving of the praise. Amazingly smooth, with no alcohol bite. comparable like savoring a 12-year single malt scotch. Pleasant agave aroma with undertones of vanilla and pepper. Please don't even consider mixing it! Definitely worth the cost. Excellent Old Fashioned maker, but works best neat or over one cube."

There is no tequila bite in Avion Reserva 44.

"I haven't ever bought a $180 bottle of tequila, so I can't really compare it to anything. You'll really enjoy this if you often sip tequila that costs between $20 and $50 a bottle. No "tequila bite" is present at all. Very smooth and without a burn. Obviously, you wouldn't want to bring this to a frat party to do shots; you'd just want to sip it. Even though it's a bit pricey, I wholeheartedly endorse this if you desire tequila but are unsure about it due of the flavor."

Excellent sipping tequila that is well worth the cost!

"A FINE way to start the evening is with a medium pour into a little snifter and a swirl. Straight, no ice or mix necessary. One of my TOP-SHIELD sipper favorites. With Avion 44, you can't go wrong. CHEERS!!!!!!"

Extra Anejo Tequila that is Exceptionally Special

"This extra anejo is incredibly exceptional and is best enjoyed neat. My wife and I adore this tequila for special occasions. To make the cost a little more manageable, get it during a sale or with a coupon. Enjoy!"

Elegant Bottle and Case

"When I inquired for an excellent bottle of tequila, this was suggested. I made a buy. Neither do I. I tend to collect things, and it looks lovely in my collection."

Less slick than in 1942

"Not quite as fluid as 1942. Despite the fact that the Reserva 44 is not awful, the 1942 was more smooth and pleasurable to drink. I'm capable of drinking the entire bottle with this, but it falls short of 1942."

Nicholas W. (4/5)

My new trademark beverage!

"The world's best tequila, hands down! The bottle is understated yet elegant, robust and heavy. It has a flavor I've never experienced before!"

Smoother than Silk!!!!

"Two years ago, I opened my first bottle of 44. My favorite X-anejo is Avion 44, however I have many of them in my collection. When I get together with friends, I usually bring a bottle, and everyone enjoys it."

Anna M. (5/5)

Finally gave it a try!

"First flavors that come to mind are agave and a little trace of caramel, followed by vanilla with a faint floral note, and wood. It is fairly supple."
