From Trinidad and Tobago, Angostura's Cask Collection No. 1 is a blend of rums aged up to 22 years, finished for nine months in first-fill Oloroso sherry casks after their time in American oak. The result pours rich amber and opens with a delicate nose of cocoa, molasses, oak, and sweet prune, carrying through to a medium-bodied palate of roasted nuts, woodiness, and hints of sherry. A rounded, oaky finish makes it a natural fit for slow sipping neat, in a snifter, after dinner.
