Overview

The 1848 2nd Generation Cabernet Sauvignon 2014 is made at the 1848 Winery founded in 2006 to honor the beginning of modern winemaking in Israel by its parent Zion Winery in 1848. Tzvika Shor is the winemaker dedicated to producing higher end wines using grapes from the Galil and the Jerusalem Hills. This Cabernet Sauvignon is the world's most famous grapes and was barrel aged for 10 months. It has a purple color with bright burgundy tones and an aroma of ripe red fruit, blackberries, mint, vanilla and tobacco in the background. The wine is full-bodied and complex, and gives a very balanced, long and pleasant finish. This wine is best served with stew meat, heavy casseroles or blue cheese.
