Just enough heat and sweetness
"My best bourbon in this price range, without a doubt. On the nose, it generally smells sweet. Some people say maple syrup, but I nearly smell molasses, though not strongly. However, the flavor is more akin to butterscotch and maple syrup. But it goes deeper than that; when you swallow, the flavor changes to a mild almond flavor with just the proper amount of spice. It's not at all overwhelming and is a pleasant, simple drink that makes you want more."

Shrewd Distiller
"Chris Morris' strategy for Woodford, which involved twice aging in several barrels, produced a fantastic bourbon. Compared to the separate bottles from chosen barrels, I like this combined bottle more. Due to Morris' excellent selection and blending of barrels from the rickhouses. His blending produces excellent bottles. At this price, well done."

It's warm. No Michter's, though!
"I bought this to tide me over in my never-ending quest to never find a Michter's Toasted. This is fairly smooth after you get past the extremely strong ethanol scent. Tobacco, cinnamon, vanilla, and caramel are all present in the front but rapidly disappear. It's good, but I think it's a little pricey (but much better than BH Toasted)."

The product from Woodford Reserve is excellent!
"The product from Woodford Reserve is excellent! I concur with Robert that the tastes are more potent, but I thought this bourbon was exceptionally smooth, starting off with a wonderful carmel hint and finishing with a hint of spice and wood. This bourbon is a little expensive. There are cheaper alternatives to this bourbon that are comparable (try Makers 46 or Willet). However, if you are a true fan of Woodford, you must try to buy this! Due to the product's price, I gave it a rating of 4, but if flavor and enjoyment were the only considerations, I would have given it a rating of 5."

I can indulge in bourbon at my gathering if I want to.
""It's has an added layer of age from the additional time in a second barrel, is incredibly rich and deep with thick syrupy richness, and has gobs of vanilla, raisin, and reminds me of the aged notes in a nice old port. Among THE BEST bourbons I've ever tasted (including you Pappy). This is the perfect ending to a fantastic day that my wife and kids gave me today for my birthday!""

Looking for value- look no further than this!
"One of the best easy-drinking bourbon whiskeys I've ever tried, without a question. Straight up on a single rock, if you prefer, with a twist of lemon peel. When you don't want to open Jefferson's Ocean Cask Strength or Whistle Pig, this drink is great for everyday use while still being unique enough for guests. Additionally, Woodford Reserve Double Oaked Bourbon is inexpensive."

Delicious butterscotch with brown sugar
"I adore scotch too, but I prefer bourbon, so I may be a little biased. This is a good change of flavor from 4 Rose's Single Barrel, which is my favorite. The spicy rye tastes of 4 Roses really appeal to me, so this bourbon is a welcome change of pace. Both the scent and the taste are very smooth, with notes of maple, brown sugar, and butterscotch. The flavor has a little more spice to it, but not as much as a whiskey with a lot of rye. This is ideal for making tasty cookies throughout the colder months. The only downsides are the cost and the likelihood that scotch lovers would find this expression to be overly sweet. Unquestionably worth a shot!"

I really rather the original
"To begin with, this bourbon is excellent. It differs significantly from the original Woodford, starting out with strong woodsy notes (in a good manner) and ending with the customary sweeter note. It sounds a little bit too, um, spicy? Woody? Oak flavor? Therefore, even at half the cost, I much prefer the original. However, it has so many distinct flavors that I can understand why some could like it."

Exemplary in the game
"This bourbon may be the best available right now. It is reasonably priced and simply amazing to drink. So silky and delicious. If you want to try something new and are prepared to pay a little more money, it's excellent. It tastes like butterscotch and caramel and is delicious neat or on the rocks."

I bought this on a whim and am extremely happy with it!
"Since I had some discounts and credit at Tipxy, I bought a 375ml bottle, and now I'm addicted! It has a lot of vanilla and spice on the aroma, is smooth and well-balanced, and finishes with butterscotch and caramel. An excellent way to cap the evening. I'm definitely going to buy a 750ml bottle when this is completed."
