Overview

Saperavi is Georgia's flagship red — a teinturier grape, red-fleshed as well as red-skinned, which is why the wine comes out this opaque. This is the straightforward dry Kakheti bottling rather than the qvevri version: sour cherry, pomegranate and a savoury edge, with acidity that cuts straight through lamb.
