Distilled in Indiana from a 75% corn, 21% rye, 4% malted barley mash, then bottled barrel proof by Proof & Wood as part of their DC Collection, it took top honors at the 2023 World Whiskies Awards. Tasting notes
Aroma: Bakery sweets in the form of chocolate chip cookie, vanilla bean scone, confectioners’ sugar, and Nutella, along with fresh garden herbs and red apple
Palate: full and rich palate turns to lemon meringue, vanilla cake, blackberry tart, bitter chocolate, and pecans.
Finish: long syrupy finish delivers peppery spice, musty attic, and, with water, nutty milk chocolate and baking spice.
