Nikka - The Grain
Nose : Fresh, complex. At first sniff, beeswax harmoniously intertwines with aromatic herbs (verbena, chamomile) and fresh fruits (pineapple, mirabelle). Then, the nose opens up to a more heady, finely toasted, and cereal-rich vanilla register.
Palate : Rich and elegant. Creamy (almond and coconut milk) and vanilla, the palate’s initial attack also displays a lot of dynamism. Lean, the mid-palate is finely licorice-flavored. The finish, on the other hand, is gently spiced (cinnamon, ginger).
Finish : Balanced, smooth. Intimately connected to the palate, the start of the finish also returns with the cereal and aromatic herb notes from the initial nose. The aftertaste oscillates between flavors of mint, acacia honey, and heady flowers (broom, mimosa).
