The Dalmore 25 Year Old is an exceptional and unique whisky. The spirit is initially matured in American white oak ex-Bourbon casks, yielding soft vanilla and honey notes. The whisky is then carefully apportioned between casks that have held 30-Year Old Matusalem Oloroso Sherry and Tawny Port Pipes. It is then brought back together to harmonise in a first fill ex-Bourbon cask, creating something truly exceptional.
Tasting notes
Aroma: Exotic fruits, marzipan, vanilla pods, treacle toffee, fig cake and sweet balsamic
Palate: Orange peel, chocolate truffles, liquorice, sweet damsons and sherry soaked raisins
Finish: Demerara sugar, maple syrup, bitter chocolate, and spiced gingerbread
