Balvenie's malt master, David C. Stewart, had an idea: fill casks with his own blend of West Indian rums, then swap that rum out for 14-year-old Speyside single malt. The result is Caribbean Cask 14 — traditional Scotch maturation followed by a finish in casks that once held Caribbean rum. Expect rich toffee and fresh fruit on the nose, rounded vanilla and sweet oak on the palate, with fruit notes building into a soft, lingering finish. Bottled at 43% ABV. Pour it neat or over a single big rock.
