Teperberg Essence Cabernet Sauvignon is a 100% Cabernet Sauvignon dry red from Teperberg Winery, Israel's oldest winery, founded in Jerusalem's Old City in 1870 and now based in Tzora, near Beit Shemesh. Fruit comes from two vineyards — the Kadesh Valley in the Upper Galilee, at roughly 450 meters elevation, and the Ephraim Hills. After night harvest, the wine ferments with extended skin maceration and ages 18 months in oak, developing dark, concentrated aromas of raspberry, blueberry, and plum layered with roasted coffee and earth. Rich and full-bodied on the palate, it pairs well with grilled red meat or aged hard cheese.
