Born at Yamazaki Distillery, Japan's first whisky house since 1923, this 12-year single malt is a study in layers. Aging across American oak, Spanish oak, and rare Japanese Mizunara barrels builds a nose of peach, pineapple, and candied orange over a palate of coconut and butter, finishing on sweet ginger and cinnamon. Sip it neat to catch every layer, or pour over a single large rock and let the Mizunara-cask character slowly open up.
