Tipsy Sauce - Caramel Hard Sauce
Something Special Blended Scotch Whisky traces back to 1912, when Hill Thomson & Co. first blended it in Edinburgh's New Town. Chivas Brothers now crafts the recipe from Speyside grain and malt whiskies, matured in a mix of American and European oak casks for a smoky sweetness balanced by richer fruit. Expect blackcurrant and raspberry up front, easing into vanilla and caramel on the palate. It's an easy sipper for newcomers to blended Scotch — pour it neat, on the rocks, or into a simple highball with soda.
Tasting notes
Nose: A dry, fruit aroma with a soft, smoky sweetness.
Taste: A mellow, soft and fruity flavour combined with a sweet smokiness.
Finish: A pleasantly rounded finish that lingers on the palate.
