Most rum starts with molasses — Zacapa starts with virgin sugarcane juice, first-press only, then blends expressions aged 6 to 24 years before finishing some in double-charred American oak. That extra char is where Edición Negra gets its edge: caramelized fruit, plum and raisin on the nose, then chocolate, dried fruit and real smoke on the palate, finishing bold and long. Guatemalan master blender Lorena Vásquez built the blend. Pour it neat or over one big rock, or let it anchor a smoky Old Fashioned.
