Named after the world's largest coastal redwood, Lost Monarch settles the old rye-or-bourbon debate by pouring both into one glass. Redwood Empire's Mare Island, California team marries roughly 55% rye with 45% bourbon, aged anywhere from three to fourteen years, into a dark amber whiskey. Expect clove and cinnamon on the nose, then corn sweetness meeting rye spice, maple, vanilla and a peppery finish. Sip it neat, or let it anchor an Old Fashioned. Every bottle sold plants a tree.
