Oban Little Bay Single Malt Scotch Whisky comes from Oban Distillery, one of Scotland's oldest and smallest distilleries, tucked at the harbour's edge in the Highland town it's named for. This no-age-statement expression is matured in a mix of refill American oak hogsheads and European oak sherry casks, then given extra time marrying in small oak casks for added depth. Expect a waxy, nutty nose layered with orchard fruit and almond cake, a palate of orange zest and clove easing into crisp green apple, and a long finish of dark chocolate tannins. Pour it neat after dinner, alongside dark chocolate or a plate of smoked seafood.
