Here we have the Signature single malt whisky from Australia's Morris Distillery. The family run distillery has its origins as a winery and makes good use of the leftover barrels from the wine production. This expression is aged in fortified wine barrels giving it an intensely rich profile with a good helping of sweet, fruity character – a great after dinner sipper.
Tasting notes
Nose: orchard fruit profiles, macerated black cherry and biscuit notes.
Palate: extremely well rounded with a pleasant mouth feel. Zesty marmalade jam, lingering cocoa and dark-berry flavours.
Finish: primary maturation achieved in ex-australian red wine barrels, then finished in casks which have held a selection of award winning morris fortified wines.
