Prominent flavors include red chili, coffee, caramel, vanilla, pineapple, and chocolate, and it’s our go-to rum for Pina Coladas, Painkillers, Manhattans, Old Fashioneds.Others like it too: Oro was named USA Rum of the Year at the International Rum Awards and has earned 8 silver medals and one best in class designation in competition.Oro ages for two years in American White Oak barrels from Colorado’s Laws Whiskey House. Because the barrel is wet and fresh from the whiskey, the Oro is fuller-bodied and picks up more flavor from the oak than Platino.
