After standard aging in charred new oak, the Kentucky Straight Bourbon moves into a second barrel — toasted, never charred — for extra time to mellow. That toasted wood pulls out campfire and cinnamon up front, pecan and candied fruit in the middle, then settles into a finish of baked pear, vanilla, and marshmallow.
