Mezcal has a reputation for big smoke, and Madre's Ensamble sets out to change the conversation. It blends Espadin with Cuishe, a wild-growing Karwinskii agave, roasted in an earthen pit, fermented with wild mountain yeast, and distilled in copper by mezcalero Jose Ines Garcia Morales and his family in the hills of Oaxaca. Expect gentle smoke over sage, earth, minerals, and a soft floral finish. Certified as Mezcal Artesanal and bottled at 45% ABV. Sip it neat, with an orange slice alongside.
