Denver's Leopold Bros marked a quarter-century of craft distilling by marrying two ryes inside an 18-foot French oak foeder borrowed from New Belgium Brewing. Roughly 85% five-year Maryland-style rye brings rich stone fruit, balanced by 15% eight-year Three Chamber rye layering in lavender, cocoa, and baking spice. Left to settle before bottling at full proof (110/55% ABV) with no water added, it drinks bold and layered. Pour it neat to catch every note, or let a single large cube open it up slowly.
