Lágrimas del Valle treats tequila like single-vineyard wine — this Reposado comes from one ranch, El Sabino, tucked at 1,261 meters near Teuchitlán, Jalisco, and is distilled by the Rosales family at Cascahuín, whose tequila lineage traces to 1904. Three months in ex-bourbon barrels bring out candied orange peel, cinnamon, and brown butter over cooked agave, with stonefruit and vanilla on the finish. Sip it slow, neat or on a single rock, to taste what one hillside of agave can do.
