Nose: A bold, phenolic nose with smouldering peat, wood ash and hints of soap and plaster. Maritime notes evoke rock pools, lobster pots, fresh scallops and oyster shells. The aroma grows drier over time, and even a drop of water closes it considerably.
Body: Medium.
Palate: Smooth and lightly oily in texture. The robust, sweet taste exudes dried fruit character, savoury-spicy and salty, developing powerfully smoky hints of peat. Smoother and sweeter with a drop of water, it remains full of life.
Finish: Long, drying and lightly smoky, with lingering salt and a peat aftertaste. A bit of water adds chilli pepper spice.
