La Gritona is made almost entirely by women at a small NOM 1533 distillery in Jalisco's Valle de Guadalupe, using mature highland agave cooked in earthen ovens and double-distilled in copper-coil steel stills. Its reposado rests six months in reused Jack Daniels and Balcones whiskey barrels, deliberately stripped of oak so the tequila stays pale and keeps its raw, herbaceous agave character instead of picking up vanilla or pepper. Crisp and round with a clean finish, it's built for sipping neat or in a simple Paloma.
