Home Base's second bitter is a jammy, fruit-forward amaro built on a California grape brandy base distilled from Lodi Zinfandel Rosé grapes at Hinterhaus Distilling in Arnold, CA. Summer-harvested figs, apricots, and cherries steep alongside bittering galangal root, then get rounded out with Bay Area wildflower honey. Expect grilled apricot, cherry cream, and sun-dried raisin against warm baking spices and honeysuckle. Pour it over ice as a sipper, or shake it into a whiskey highball for a darker, spiced-fruit twist.
