South Africa Mhoba SAWP edition was distilled at Mhoba Rum Distillery, South Africa in 2018 and matured for six years in South African peated whisky casks. Its source is fresh-pressed cane juice, long-fermented with wild yeast and distilled on Mhoba’s signature pot stills. Fully aged and bottled at the distillery, it is presented at 59% ABV. There are only two casks of the SAWP in the United States, and it is a Holmes Cay exclusive.
Tasting notes
Grilled sweet bell pepper and rich cane on the nose. On the tongue salted caramel, mocha, marmalade and tobacco. A finish of light smoke.
