South Africa Mhoba SAW edition was distilled at Mhoba Rum Distillery, South Africa in 2018 and matured for six years in South African whisky casks. Its source, like all Mhoba rums, is fresh-pressed cane juice, long-fermented with wild yeast and distilled on Mhoba’s signature pot stills. Fully aged and bottled at the distillery, it is presented at 59% ABV. There are only two casks of the SAW in the United States, and it is a Holmes Cay exclusive.
Tasting notes
Mint leaf and caramel on the nose with vanilla, brine and sichuan peppercorn on the tongue. On the finish spun sugar and a hint of eucalyptus.
