Hillrock Estate Distillery's Solera Cabernet Barrel #20 is a single-barrel bourbon from the Hudson Valley's Ancram, New York estate, where Hillrock grows and floor-malts its own grain on-site. The bourbon ages through Hillrock's signature solera system in Oloroso Sherry casks, then finishes in Napa Valley Cabernet wine casks for added depth. Expect a copper-amber pour with caramel-vanilla aromas, layers of black cherry, toffee, and French oak, and a long finish tinged with cherry and cabernet notes. Pour neat or with a single large-format ice cube to open up the fruit.

The multi-barrel aging of this copper/amber whiskey with slight red hues in appearance before offering a caramel-vanilla nose full of fruit (cherry, blackberry and citrus) and sweet desserts (taffy, caramelized sugar, plum and caramel).
Warm and sweet notes of vanilla, toffee and French oak complimented by a bouquet of floral and fruity notes black cherry, currant, violet and nuts complete the palate before leading to a long and vanilla-focused finish, highlighted with cherry and cabernet flavors.
