This reposado spends its first eleven months in medium-char American oak, then finishes for two more in vintage port casks shipped in from Portugal's Duoro Valley — a double maturation crafted by Master Distiller Maria Teresa Lara. The result pours amber with rose and copper hues, opening into smoky, tobacco-tinged aromas layered with dried fruit and spice. On the palate, oak-aged agave meets port-soaked plum and cracked pepper, finishing smooth with a whisper of dark chocolate. Pour it neat after dinner, alongside aged cheese or a square of bittersweet chocolate.
