Hardy has been coaxing eaux-de-vie into cognac since 1863 — the year Anthony Hardy founded his maison in the heart of Charente, and the number that still rides on the label. This V.S.O.P is a Fine Champagne blend, drawing on Grande and Petite Champagne fruit (Ugni Blanc, Folle Blanche, Colombard) and resting around eight years in Limousin oak. Expect fresh pear and vanilla on the nose, walnut and cinnamon on the palate, and a velvety finish. Sip it neat, or build it into a Sidecar.
