Goslings has partnered with Bermuda artists Nhuri Bashir and Domico Watson to create a limited-edition Black Seal Rum bottle. Their mixed media approach combined photography of paint on canvas, and icons pulled directly from vintage Goslings ads and bottle labels to create a colorful and one-of-a-kind collage.

In the artists’ words: “The design is largely inspired by street art and pop art. Much like the Goslings Black Seal Rum brand, we wanted to bring together old and new and fuse them with a bold yet striking balance.” In our words, “we wanted to pair the work of art inside our bottle with a work of art on the bottle.”

"Gosling's Black Seal Rum, with its pitch-black sheen resembling that of an oil slick, is unquestionably not a rum for casual drinkers. Although the aroma is a touch overpowering for my nose, this dark rum has a sophisticated flavor profile that combines cinnamon, caramel, brown sugar, burnt molasses, nutmeg, and pimento dram into a decadent concoction. Gosling's Black Seal Rum is a wonderful substitute for the more widely available Myer's Dark Rum and makes a terrific complement to cocktail recipes. The finish has a faint bitterness but is otherwise smooth. In that vein, I've given you two cocktail recipes using this rum. The ingredients for DARK AND STORMY are 2 ounces of Gosling's Black Seal Rum, 3 to 5 ounces of ginger beer (Fever Tree is highly recommended), and the juice of half a lime (optional). Build the ingredients in an iced highball, stir gently, and garnish with a lime wedge. MILK PUNCH is made with 1 ounce brandy, 1/2 ounce of Gosling's Black Seal Rum, 2 teaspoons simple syrup, 2 dashes"
