Château d'Agassac is a Haut-Médoc red blend from Ludon-Médoc, Bordeaux, produced at an estate whose Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel vineyards date back to the 11th century. The 43-hectare property blends Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and a touch of Cabernet Franc across gravel-and-clay terroir that gives the wine its structure. Expect deep garnet color, ripe dark fruit and black pepper on the nose, and velvety tannins leading into a long, spiced finish with notes of eucalyptus. Decant before serving and pair with roasted meats or herb-glazed veal.
