Found North Batch 004 is an 18-year cask-strength Canadian whisky from the Taylor brothers' small-batch blending house, released as a limited 2,746-bottle outrun, non-chill filtered with no additives. The blend leans on a 21-year and Hungarian-oak-aged 25-year corn base balanced against two 18-year ryes — one from ex-Speyside scotch casks, one from rechar American oak — yielding maple syrup, leather, and mahogany on the nose with a buttery, spiced finish of cardamom and ginger. Pour it neat in a snifter to let the wood spice unfold.
