Fort Hamilton, Brooklyn's own distillery, built this bourbon by marrying two very different straight whiskeys aged at least two years: one distilled from 100% New York-grown grain at Taconic Distillery upstate, the other a high-rye MGP bourbon from Indiana. Barrels of each are tasted individually, then blended in small batches at 92 proof, non-chill filtered. Expect cacao and cardamom up front, apricot-chocolate and orange zest on the palate — built for a rye-forward Old Fashioned or Manhattan.
