Firme brings a Día de los Muertos spirit to life, crafted by a Zapotec mezcalero family in Santiago Matatlán, Oaxaca. The 100% espadín agave is roasted in an underground pit oven, crushed on a horse-drawn stone tahona, fermented in open-air pine vats, and double distilled in copper alembics before mandarin and cempasúchil marigold are added, at 48% ABV. Expect bright citrus lifting earthy agave and floral warmth. Serve neat in a copita to mark the occasion, or sip slow any evening craving something vivid.
