Most Affordable Bourbon.

"I love bourbon, and this is among the best bottles you can get right now. I am aware that taste and scent are personal experiences, but for me, this has hints of chocolate chip cookie and sweet oak. It is delicious beyond belief. Simply put, you can't go wrong for the price! Just give it a try!"

Top of the Mid Class

"This is exactly how the middle shelf should taste in my opinion. With a touch of spice, traditional syrup sweetness. With a comparable classic flavor profile and reasonable pricing, I would rank it just above Elijah Craig Small Batch but below Kentucky Vintage."

Zuri O. (5/5)

Exceptionally Fine Bourbon, however...

"Since I've been loving Evan Williams BIB 100 proof bourbon, which is significantly less expensive, I assumed the Single Barrel version would be an improvement at two times the cost. Although it is a really beautiful, sips well Bourbon, I chose to put it up against the BIB in a blind tasting. I was astonished to discover that the BIB Bourbon, which costs less, has the same scents but is much fuller and better overall. Therefore, even though Single Barrel Evan Williams is a very fine bourbon, BIB Bourbon is a better whiskey for drinking."

Not so worth for extra cost

"Our go-to house bourbon is Evan Williams, though we occasionally try other labels as well. We conducted a side-by-side taste comparison of the "upscale" and "basic" black label versions. I didn't know which was which and really couldn't tell at all, while my husband claimed to be able to barely identify which was which. The single barrel is clearly not worth more than twice as much, in my opinion."

This is A Rare Find

"This has taken the place of Buffalo Trace, which has recently received much attention. This bourbon is excellent. I figure I'll shell out roughly $86 for this. Both fantastic flavor and pricing. I cannot stress this more."

Appreciation to Evan Williams

"My family and I performed our own tasting evaluation of bourbon in light of all the hullabaloo around it. Each of these whiskeys was available in a bottle, including: Woodford Reserve Double Oaked Michters Small Batch Wild Turkey Russell's Reserve Evan Williams Single Barrel Wild Turkey Rare Breed Blanton's Single Barrel Maker's Mark 101 Limited Release The grand winner was Evan Williams Single Barrel. Why? because the taste was excellent in every way. The best experience was having a glass of bourbon while sitting there. It is a no-brainer when you take into account the cost and availability. While the Blanton's may dazzle more, the fact that you have one at all probably impresses more than the bourbon within! Success with THAT! Upcoming in the The Woodford Reserve Double Oaked and the Wild Turkey Rare Breed tied for first place in the tasting test for me."

Large Taste at an Affordable Price.

"I thought the beverage was excellent value for the money and highly drinkable. I'd venture to say that this is a rising star!"

Excellent Stuff with Great Flavor

"This is the best value I've seen on a single barrel. Every bottle has a somewhat unique personality. Nice drinking with an ice rock."

The Perfect $86 Bourbon, Quite Simply!

"Even the most ardent scotch enthusiasts will switch to bourbon after trying this very pleasant spirit. Incredible value."

A substitute for Blanton
