Cruzan's Single Barrel comes from Estate Diamond on St. Croix, where a five-column still turns molasses into a rum built for blending, not vintage dating. This one mingles rums aged five to twelve years, then rests together in a single oak barrel for about a year longer, picking up round wood, coffee, vanilla and honey notes with a buttery finish. At 40% ABV, it's substantial enough to sip neat but easy in a rum and cola. Try it on the rocks.
