Tipsy Sauce - Caramel Hard Sauce
Cruzan's Single Barrel comes from Estate Diamond on St. Croix, where a five-column still turns molasses into a rum built for blending, not vintage dating. This one mingles rums aged five to twelve years, then rests together in a single oak barrel for about a year longer, picking up round wood, coffee, vanilla and honey notes with a buttery finish. At 40% ABV, it's substantial enough to sip neat but easy in a rum and cola. Try it on the rocks.
Tasting notes
Aroma: Rich and complex, with deep oak tones and honey sweetness alongside smoke, chocolate roasted nut, cinnamon and cherry.
Taste: Round wood notes with coffee, nut, vanilla and honey.
With a buttery mouthfeel, this medium-to-full-bodied aged rum is a unique blend, meticulously crafted to be savored like a sunny day in St. Croix. The deep, complex flavors are best enjoyed neat or on the rocks.
