Daviess County Straight Bourbon revives a Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey lineage tracing back to 1874, when Daviess County was home to some of the state's earliest great distilleries. Today it's produced by Lux Row Distillers in Bardstown, Kentucky, using a distinctive blend of two straight bourbons — a smooth wheated mashbill and a spicier traditional rye recipe — aged over four years. Expect honey, vanilla, and caramel on the nose and palate, finishing long and warm with a touch of spice. Pour it neat or over a single large ice cube to open up the sweetness.
