Casa Verde's Añejo starts with fully mature, first-cut agave slow-cooked for two days in traditional ovens, then rested in American oak bourbon barrels. The result is a big, layered pour: cooked agave and caramel up front, vanilla and toasted oak through the middle, finishing warm with black pepper and a hint of spice. Produced by Casa Marengo Distillery from agave grown in the lowlands of Jalisco and Nayarit, it's bold enough to sip neat by the fire or anchor a spirit-forward cocktail like an añejo old fashioned.
