Barrell's Private Release series treats blending as craft: whiskeys are married first, then finished together in single casks that once held wine or other spirits. DHC6 builds around an 18-year-old Kentucky whiskey backbone, finished in a Marine Layer Charles Heintz Vineyard Chardonnay barrel from California — a wine-cask pairing that layers orchard-fruit brightness over deep, well-aged bourbon character. Bottled at a bold 58.41% ABV, it's a sipping whiskey built for a slow pour neat, for drinkers ready to taste something genuinely new.
