Tipsy Sauce - Caramel Hard Sauce
Barrell's Private Release series exists for the odd, exceptional casks that don't fit their standard batches — and DHC1 is a good example why that's worth chasing. Built around an 18-year-old Kentucky whiskey base, then finished in a Marine Layer Lyra Pinot Noir barrel for extra depth, it comes in at cask strength (58.72% ABV / 117.44 proof). Expect an elegant nose, a mild sip with a warming burn at the finish, and plenty to unpack neat, one slow pour at a time.
