Not a bourbon, technically — a blend of straight whiskies, mostly 9- to 12-year Kentucky bourbon with a slug of 6-year Bardstown rye, finished 15 months in Maison Ferrand cognac casks. At 111.8 proof it drinks big: black cherry, toasted oak, vanilla cream and rye spice, with a raisiny cognac lift and a kiss of mint.
